Processing the Weight: Learning to Breathe Again

Introduction

After everything that’s happened, I’ve found myself sitting with a lot of thoughts.

Not loud or overwhelming ones. Not dramatic either. Just quiet reflections that seem to appear in the rare moments when life slows down if it ever truly does.

Sitting With the Feelings

Usually, it’s easier to push things aside and carry on.

But lately, I’ve realised that ignoring how you feel doesn’t make it disappear it just builds up.

So instead of pushing through, I’ve been trying to sit with it.

Even when it’s uncomfortable.

What Processing Really Looks Like

Processing isn’t always obvious.

It looks like:

  • Pausing for a moment
  • Feeling overwhelmed but not running from it
  • Allowing thoughts to come and go

It’s messy. It’s not linear. But it’s necessary.

What I’m Learning

  • You don’t have to rush healing
  • It’s okay to not feel okay
  • Slowing down doesn’t mean falling behind

Closing

Right now, I’m giving myself permission to just be.

Not perfect.
Not fixed.
Just present. 💛
